On June 4, I had the great pleasure of being the “guest speaker” at a Love Your Business community dinner and networking event here in Melbourne. “Local Women Making News”

Local Hepburn Springs resident Margaret Gill has been featured by prominent author Robert Rabbin in his latest book called RealTime Speaking: YOU are the Message!, which was released this month.

Margaret’s chapter is titled “Dark Night of the Soul” and tells the vivid story of a decision made on the freezing cold floor of her Victorian cottage in Hepburn Springs. The decision to get up off the floor has lead to an ability to speak publicly about her passion to work positively with others who lead from the heart. The story follows what needed to occur to take her from feeling like “a total loser” after her move from the city to finding the authenticity and power to deliver messages others wanted to hear. In August 2008 she will deliver a key note speech at the Utopia International Retreat in Noosa called “Leading from the Heart” and this win was made possible by working with Robert Rabbin and learning what it took to express her true self.

I’m in Nashville, at the Building Biology Conference. Just wanted to let you know that I gave an opening address here yesterday. It was just awesome. No one moved a muscle, everyone listened completely. The air crackled. I focused on having fun, and coming from the heart. I was the message. The reaction afterwards was overwhelming.

Just wanted to let you know — thanks for all you taught me. Wouldn’t have been anywhere near the same without that.
